Carrick beat Gurteen Celtic

Carrick Town U14 boys recovered from their opening day defeat against Real Tubber with an emphatic 11-1 away drubbing of local rivals Gurteen Celtic. The match was played under very difficult weather conditions but the Carrick side played some very impressive one touch football to totally dominate the opposition.

Early goals from Enda Moreton and the inspirational Michael Murtagh set the tone for the game as the away side attacked right from the first whistle. Well taken goals from John Gannon and Matty Mulvey gave the away side a comfortable 4 nil half time lead. Second half substitute Armando Da Silva displayed some Samba magic with a quick fire hat-trick in less than fifteen minutes.

Further goals from second half substitutes Matthew Mc Dermott, Patrick Doyle as well as a second strike from Michael Murtagh and a cracker from Man-of-the-match Aaron Mc Loughlin sealed the victory.
