Volunteer as a Coach

Carrick Town AFC consistently needs coaches for our underage teams.
Due to lack of coaching volunteers, we are unable to establish as many teams as we would like, which means that lots of underage players don’t get as much competitive game team and coaching attention as we would like.
To coach an underage team, no prior experience is required. All new coaches attend official FAI training programmes which are paid for by the club. The coaching badges that are awarded on foot of these courses are fully recognised by UEFA.
What is required is a basic commitment to be available on every 3rd/4th Saturday, sometimes at short notice, between September and the following April. You’ll also need plenty of patience, a love of the game and a warm coat!
Coaching underage soccer is a rewarding experience, and provides valuable and recognised experience in terms of working with children and young adults.
It also forms the basis on which the success of Irish soccer is built, and without which, there would be no Robbie Keanes, Damien Duffs or Shay Givens.
